We would like to thank Alexandra who helped our daughter, Mia, into this world and now taking postcare of mum and Mia.
Thank you, Alexandra!0
The blanket is ready2
As you may remember I made a blanket for Mait. You may remember from your own childhood experience that you had to have everything similar to your sister/brother. Thus, I had to make also a blanket for Mia, and as big as Mait's one...
So, as many of you heard that I cannot go to deliver before the blanket is ready, I can report now - the blanket is ready! I finished it this lunchtime! Now I am fully prepared to go to the hospital.
On the pictures - the blanket with red flowers is Mia's and the one with the lila/white flowers Mait's.
Easter Eggs0
Margit spend some time at the kindergarten creating this great easter nest for Mait.
Juuuuuuuu, it is fasten time!0
This year we celebrate the lent (shrove Tuesday) going for sledging and eating lenten buns:-)
His Excellency3
Mait and Margit in Düsseldorf with His Excellency Toomas Hendrik Ilves, President of the Republic of Estonia.
Margit's Birthday0
Yesterday we celebrated Margit's birthday with the Estonian folk and today with the chilean ;) and these are some of the few pictures that were taken. PS: notice how friendly Rodrigo is to the children today.
After 3 Days driving we finnaly arrived to Estonia and we stopped in the south to visit Margit's relatives in Viljandi.
National Clothes1
Here is Margit in hers national clothes at the European Day celebration in Düsseldorf.
Margit Skiing0
We have no picture in action, since we can not go together tothe montain because of Mait. Here is Margit at the end of the slope.
Margit carrying Mait0
We just realized that we had very few pictures of Margit carrying Mait, so here is an update from the canary islands :D
Baking gingerbread0
And the day for baking arrived, and we had a lot of fun, eating and baking :p
It is time for gingerbreads0
Christmas is approaching and Christmas without gingerbreads are not real Christmas. First time in my life I prepared gingerbread dough (I have always bought the dough, but here in Germany I think one cannot find it) and on Sunday I am going to bake gingerbreads.
Winter, winter!0
We have winter - Yesterday was snowing all the afternoon, at the end there were as much as 5 cm high snow outside. Cologne people were playing snow-war outside and sliding on streets. Even cooks from one restaurant made a snowman outside their kitchen.
It has been really strange year with respect of snow - the first snow of last winter came in March and now it already snowing in November!
It’s really Christmas weather outside! By the way - Christmas markets will be opened this week and all Cologne is already decorated.
Margit's Birthday0
Yesterday was Margit's Birthday, and despite we did already celebrate several times, we went with some estonian friends to see the estonian teather group NO99, performing 'HEM', with simultanean translation into german. Very funny and with deep thoughts about estonian past, present and future.
Margit got also these beautiful bunches of flowers.
Baby boom II0
We celebrated yesterday Margit's birthday in Cologne with the german/chilean community.
There were only 9 guests, including 3 pregnants and 2 children, Mait and Noah, of course!
Nice Clothing1
Here is Mait featuring a very nice 34 years old piece of clothing, originally used by Margit.
Baby Margit0
We got some pictures of Margit as a little baby, click the picture for more fun ;) One picture is also of Mait's Estonian grandma.
Margit stumbled with me and got the 2 smallest toes of the right foot broken... no plaster, but 6 weeks bandage...
Milk Shortage0
it is well known that babies want to eat more milk than normally available between the 7th and 10th days of life. In our case it is most visible during the day, when the baby wants to eat every 1-2 hours, but we are lucky that he still sleeps in 4 hours intervals during the night :)
Home, far away at sea1
Michael has already asked me for couple of days to write something to our blog.
I really hope that my family will love our home there as much as I do and their summer dreams will always include a trip to Hiiumaa to our hut, to our home, which situates far at sea (I really recommend to read Astrid Lindgren’s book Seacrow Island (in Swedish Tjorven på Saltkråkan), this gives very good overview of island life).
