This how it looked at our place for a baby photo shooting with Anke Dietrich. Stay tuned to see the results.
Mia coming home0
Since i was not allowed to stay in the hospital and both girls were feeling really good i was sent to the office and Mait picked up the girls from the hospital to bring Mia home (with a bit help from the estonian Grandpa).
We have removed the wall of Mait's bed, so he can get in and out when he wants. As a result we have found him in the morning sleeping in the most strange positions...
Juuuuuuuu, it is fasten time!0
This year we celebrate the lent (shrove Tuesday) going for sledging and eating lenten buns:-)
New year's brunch1
We had a good and lazy whole-day brunch with many friends to welcome the new year...
Everybody was helping to arrange Maits new room's curtains. Margit sewed it and Mait installed it, i was just watching ;)
When art visits you at home0
In June we had very nice Outernational ceramics exhibition in our yard. Similar exhibitions were simultaneously in three other countries and all were accessible for "visitors" via internet.
A lot has changed in our lives during the last few weeks.
We were coming back from 6 weeks long holidays, were specially Mait's schedule was completely messed up. Now my parental leave is over and i started to work again and Mait has to go to the kindergarten.
For Mait it has been quite hard, he has to wake up every day latest at 6h30, to arrive to the kindergarten at 8h00 and be without us until 17h00, really hard. On my side, i can not complain, despite i enjoyed being at home with Mait and that i would also like to do it more, i am really happy to bike every day to the office, were i also do what i like to do.
My only concern is that now Mait will spend more time in the kindergarten than with us, and i am really curious to see how this will affect his development...
We have been busy last days renovating Maits own room, and he has been always helping.
We got these days an already for long time due visit from my friend Alejandro, who did meet Mait for the first time...
Plastic Bib0
Since Mait mostly playing with normal bibs and eating them more than the food he was supposed to eat, we decided to try a plastic bib. And we are really happy with it...
Cologne, as well as most of europe, is already for a couple of days covered by snow.
We are back home, and we did use today for the first time our converted pushchair since the pram is now definitivly too small for Mait...
Household tools0
Since i am the one with lower dirt tolerance limit, i am mostly cleaning at home and i am very happy with our last acquisitions: a battery driven vacuum cleaner and a steam floor cleaner.
So i do almost not need anymore any of my old cleaning tools :)
Children meeting0
Yesterday there was also a big chicldren meeting at our place, first came our friends from Brussels Erika, (big) Mait and their son Siim and later my sister Karin with her son Noah.
After exercising0
Here is Mait after exercising and me after having watched the soccer match between Chile(1!) and Argentina(0) for the FIFA World Cup 2010 at 3'o clock in the morning... :p
First bath ever, and he seems to like the water... understandable, imagine how happy will you be bathing after one month without ;)
All our estonians friends have been the last weeks enjoining holidays in Estonia, now the first start to come back, and visit us to meet Mait...
And more guests0
everybody is visiting us these days, here Andrés and Katy. If you want to visit us you will have to make an appointment for next month... actually, do not worry and come whenever you want, you are always welcome here ;)
And the other uncle...0
This is the first visit of uncle Oliver, who is moving soon to Cologne...
Cloths Shortage0
when we first received so much baby cloth from my sister, we were thinking: 'do babies really use that much cloth!?', then only a couple of hours after we arrived home we run out of all we had...
Home, far away at sea1
Michael has already asked me for couple of days to write something to our blog.
I really hope that my family will love our home there as much as I do and their summer dreams will always include a trip to Hiiumaa to our hut, to our home, which situates far at sea (I really recommend to read Astrid Lindgren’s book Seacrow Island (in Swedish Tjorven på Saltkråkan), this gives very good overview of island life).
First day of parental leave0
After six hours walking Mait still does not want to come out, but we, we got really tired...
