We went today to visit my sister and all the children were nicely playing together.

We left Tallinn as soon as possible to visit grand father in Saaremaa, and i spend some time helping him to paint it. The reward: a couples of hours riding his bike ;)

After 3 Days driving we finnaly arrived to Estonia and we stopped in the south to visit Margit's relatives in Viljandi.

This month Mait celebrated his 10th month with his great grand mother in Hagen.

Yesterday we did a big BBQ to celebrate Karin's birthday... but she could not come :(

Today we could finally congratulate her in person.

My second nephew Marco Lopez-Moossen was born yesterday April 8th at 00h47 with 53cm and 3780g. Congratulations to the proud parents.

This is the cruel reality at Siim's place in Saaremaa. The picture was taken on my birthday and the similar weather was also 35 years ago in Tartu on that day...

Yesterday there was also a big chicldren meeting at our place, first came our friends from Brussels Erika, (big) Mait and their son Siim and later my sister Karin with her son Noah.

We were quite busy here with the estonian grandparents visiting us this week... one of the places we went was Altenahr.

Old and young celebrating together, Aino (Mait's estonian great grand mother) became 85 years old and Mait not even 6 weeks old, more than an average human life of difference...

We just came back from Estonia, and to start the serie of posts related to this trip, here a short thought about culture differences:

It took us almost one whole day to convince Imbi (Mait's estonian grandmother) to take Mait into her arms, but afterwards there was no way to take Mait away from her, and things became more normal for me...

In Chile people will killed each other for taking a baby first into their arms, i think in Germany it is a little bit more relaxed despite Christel (Mait's german grandfather wife) would also kill for it, and Estonian has been the coldest in this respect.

We are flying tomorrow to Estonia to celebrate the 85th birthday of Mait's great grandmother. She will get this A3 sized poster as present (click here to download).

I just realized that my brother in law is also running his own blog, as well as our friends Kathi and Andrés.

Since the grand-grand mother could not make it to Cologne, we went to visit her. The aunt had also the possibility to meet Mait for the first time... (let's say she was just too lazy to come to Cologne ;).

This is the first visit of uncle Oliver, who is moving soon to Cologne...

On Saturday, we were taking care of Noah, our nephew, for the first time. We had even to change our first diaper.
